Saints Sweep Centenary College

The Saints had a great Wednesday by sweeping Centenary College by scores of 13-0 and 9-0. The Saints were able to pick up the victories on the heels of an eight-run inning in each game.

In the first game Chad Weiss went 3 for 3 with a single, double, and a homerun for three RBIs and three runs scored. Luke Olin of St. Scholastica also added a single and a homerun in the opener. On the mound, the Saints were led by Jake Eiler and Eric Hagen who combined on a four-hitter.

In game two the Saints were led by senior D.J. Lahti who singled and homered for a four RBI game. Keith Ritsche and Luke Olin also added two hits while Olin scored two runs and Ritsche had two RBIs. On the mound, Mark Moriarty and Steve Henry combined for a three-hitter.

The Saints record improved to 9-2 with the victories. On Thursday, the Saints took on Westminster College at noon.
